Meeting Minutes

OLD BUSINESS: we’ve scaled back this meeting so nothing new to add here.

NEW BUSINESS: 1) HomeBrewCon: people going will try to get together, likely Friday around 1:30PM. Check #aha channel on Slack to find out details.

2) We’ve set up some dates for the upcoming year: our Libations Cookout will be 9/17 at the Barn ~12-5PM for members and their families including kids. Our mid-year raffle will happen then. Our Christmas Party will be Friday 12/2 at the Barn for members, guests, family members all being 21y.o. and over.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) We had an April Social at Hopkins Farms and had low to moderate attendance but a fun night. Aaron, Colin, Steve brewed together for the prize that Colin won in the December raffle and had a great time brewing an IPA in the 10-barrel system.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) We had a March Social at Double Groove and had great attendance and a fun night.

2) Chris hosted LABS on White Stout and it was a very informative session. Next meeting will be hosted by Matt on Milds/Dark Milds.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) January 2023 style will be Kellerbier.

2) Marc and Mike were the only ones able to attend Granite Run’s monthly meeting at AleCraft but they had good conversations about strengthening the relationship between our 2 homebrew clubs. There are open invitations for us and them to join monthly meetings. Their monthly style was “store-bought ingredients” and it was an interesting idea we may want to pursue ourselves.

OLD BUSINESS: 1)We are trying to emphasize the educational aspect of the club. We had sheets of Style of the Month with Sample Recipes available for February and March.

2) The Sign-in table now has a portion dedicated to Commercial Beers that members want to share. At the end of our regular meetings, one can take time to mention any notable commercial examples.

NEW BUSINESS: 1) We presented Ken with an engraved glass as a Thank-You for his service to the club.

2) January 2023 Style was voted to be Kellerbier.
