Meeting Minutes

Welcome back everyone for a new year of Libations! Our first meeting of the year was on Zoom due to COVID and about 12 attended.

Old Business:

OLD BUSINESS: 1) Our October meeting was Belgian Dubbel and we had the largest collection of samplings at 23 recorded plus the commercial beers passed around.

2) Our Christmas Beer was brewed at George’s and is doing well. Marc will bring the rest of the bourbon handle at the Christmas Party if anyone wants to make beer cocktails with it. Bottling for the X-mas beer will be Sunday 11/14 at George’s. We need help and bottles! Please consider volunteering; joyful labor starts at 1PM.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) Our September meeting was Festbier/Marzen and we had a successful night with many beers on style.

We had our September meeting once again in person at the Red Barn in Abingdon.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) Our August meeting was open style and we had our lowest attendance.

2) Please sign up for helping with the Friendship Beer Fest on October 2nd. Get a Libations T-shirt if you work that day. If you are bringing a keg to serve beer, please also bring a vessel for it to sit in ice. Friendship is providing ice.

We had our August meeting once again in person at the Red Barn in Abingdon.

OLD BUSINESS: 1) Our July meeting was on single recipe, different yeasts. We had one of the most interesting discussions as all beers were different.

2) Please sign up for helping with the Friendship Beer Fest on October 2nd. We could use another Jockey Box and a few more kegs to rotate through. We are thinking about reaching out to AleCraft to see if they would sponsor us with their Jockey Box and we could advertise their store via stickers.
